Multicolored Ladybeetle - Harmonia axyridis Adults

Applied Bio-Nomics Ltd. has had excellent results with the mass rearing and introductions of the Asian Ladybeetle Harmonia axyridis. This predator is sold as adults as each female can lay up to 800 eggs and feeds on aphids, mites, and whitefly. These beetles differ from the standard field collected California ladybeetles in that they are pre-fed and mated and will begin egg laying faster and cycle in the greenhouse more reliably.
